Domaine de Gourjo - Outstanding mansion with XVIIIth Century gardens

The villa and grounds are amazing and we (5 couples) had plenty of space. We particularly enjoyed the outside kitchen and dining space and the air conditioned rooms and pool were much appreciated during the heatwave we experienced during our stay. The gardien who came every morning to look after the pool was very helpful but unobtrusive. The « kitchen help » was an understated advantage and she prepared some excellent dishes for us.The location is excellent, in the heart of the wine region with plenty of places to visit. There is bakery, butcher and supermarket all within a few minutes walk and the town is an easy 20 minute walk away.The host service was also great and when we had one small issue it was dealt with swiftly and professionally.There are some things which require to be updated, such as modern shower facilities, but overall a great experience.
